They say October 27th is when our pets come back to check on us. So how pleased I was to find a single white feather on the kitchen floor, near your photo in the morning of the 28th. I hope you like the new house- though nowhere will ever feel like home, without you.

I had a beautiful dream about you last night. You were just your usual, lovely self. I woke up so happy but then the reality sets in that you're never coming back. I'm going to carry this ache with me forever now seeing as I can't have you. You really were so perfect!
